Immigration Games: The Winners and Losers Of A Cultural Monopoly
Voters Best Start Playing Their Cards Right
We’re in a game.
A game of cultural Monopoly as the marketplace inches toward globalization each year.
But it’s not just goods and services under threat of world integration.
Today, there’s a patent on our thoughts:
You're a Putin sympathizer if you don’t support funding a proxy war in Ukraine
If you don’t think kids should get sex changes or start puberty blockers at 11, you’re a transphobe
If you pick the white Chess pieces, you’re racist
And it’s Taboo to believe in borders and immigration enforcement.
For years, men, women, and children attempting to make it in America have been found dead in the Rio Grande, strewn about the land, or in the backs of trailers.
Those that successfully cross don’t necessarily win the American Dream, but they often fulfill the Cartel’s Dream of assisting in drug and human trafficking.
But those discussions are Trivial Pursuits as far as many supporters of open borders are concerned.
And in the past, people that voted for lax immigration laws were generally geographically insulated from the truth behind the immigration game.
That is changing.
Because where you choose to work, live, or play in the coming months might be a roll of the dice.

You’ve most likely been involved in a wedding in one way or another.
And every wedding planner runs into Trouble.
Especially with lodging.
Now imagine successfully booking the correct number of rooms at the right price and the hotel calling you to tell you they’ve canceled your reservation to house undocumented immigrants from who knows where.
That’s what happened to Sean Plunkett and Nicole Hoeffrle of Queens, NY.
The couple, set to be married tomorrow, reserved 37 rooms earlier this year and were recently told their hotel, The Crossroads Hotel in Newburgh, NY, would be used to house undocumented immigrants.
In an interview, Plunkett said, “I don’t think that it’s really beneficial to myself or to Nicole to, you know, take our anger out on New York City or on Orange County or on the hotel. At this point, we really just want our wedding to be as wonderful a day as we’ve hoped.”
And this isn’t an edge case.
The Watson Hotel in New York City, which sits across from Central Park, also houses immigrants, as does the Holiday Inn in Manhattans Financial District, Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown, a hotel in Yonkers, and two in Rockland County.

Sorry! Veterans, we have to make room for more illegal immigrants.
When New York isn’t busy ruining wedding plans, they’re at work kicking US military veterans out of hotels used as temporary shelters.
Yerik Israel Toney, a non-profit veteran organization, told the New York Post that around two dozen US veterans were relocated to hotels in the New York area.
Fortunately, the vets found alternative shelter.
However, as YIT spokesman Brian Mahler mentioned, the move damages trust in an already eroded relationship between veterans and government programs.

In Williamsburg, a northern Brooklyn neighborhood, the city announced plans to designate at least one active elementary school gymnasium as a shelter for illegal immigrants.
One of which recently completed renovations.
Undocumented men from unknown countries can now enjoy the smell of fresh paint and lumber while the kids dodge the hypodermic needles on the basketball court.
Parents and students protested Mayor Adams this week, saying they support “asylum seekers.”
They just don’t want them in their backyard.
One mother said, “There’s no safety..they’re giving us one safety officer. Just one. We only have two for a school of 700 kids.”
The New York mayor’s office reportedly opened 150 emergency sites to serve over 65,000 illegal immigrants—a number growing by the day.
On Staten Island, at least two former schools have also been converted into shelters.
Meanwhile, in Chicago, the city reviewed plans to shelter illegal immigrants at the old South Shore High School.
As a result, upset residents attended a public forum to voice concerns about a community plagued by violence, drugs, and homelessness.

Newly elected “worse than Lori” Mayor Brandon Johnson said, "We have a responsibility to ensure that families seeking love and support in Chicago and Illinois are not just welcome but serviced..”
As another citizen accurately described: “It’s always the poor neighborhoods that suffer the consequences.”
Tell Them What They’ve Won
It’s hard to tell the difference between the winners and losers in the immigration game.
On the surface, everyday Americans lose: The bride and groom-to-be, veterans, Chicagoans, and the children and parents of these converted schools.
Immigrants win because they get free admission, food, and shelter.
Then again, people got what they voted for.
In that way, voters won.
But ultimately, everyone loses because a country without borders cannot sustain itself.
Still, maybe there’s a silver lining.
Perhaps now, as the bodies stack up in New York and Chicago instead of border towns, people will play their hands differently in the next election.
Maybe people will relax the rules on the Monopoly of ideas.
Sure, immigration built this country.
But not like this.
Maybe basic immigration policy and enforcement isn’t such a bad idea after all.
Americans better get a Clue because these policies don’t create the Candyland that Mastermind politicians portray.
Hungry Hungry Hippos continue to take Chutes and Ladders over our border, pass Go and collect $200 of your tax money.
Should Americans defend themselves against undocumented MS-13 gang members, it’s the American that will go directly to jail.
It Boggles the mind.
And when the Dominoes fall, we’ll have to turn in our red and black chips for Chinese Checkers.
