Do you need career advice for yourself or a friend? People would tell you coding and app development has been a promising career path in the past few years. And before that, they suggested Information Technology in general as a good choice. Before that, we only knew "computers" was the future. But it looks like there could be a change from rewiring hardware to patching brains. With incompetent people running the country and driving us mad, the psychology field could blow up in unprecedented ways as more people develop software issues. Because of that, I see five unusual jobs in demand in 2025.
Not that the CDC is a particularly credible source, but their survey from June of 2020 suggests the state of mental health in this country is on the decline.
That we can believe.
The report says:
31% of respondents reported symptoms of anxiety or depression
13% reported having started or increased substance use
26% reported stress-related symptoms
11% reported having serious thoughts of suicide in the past 30 days
But we don't need research to tell us that because we see it every day.
When people drive alone with a mask on and windows up, that's an unhealthy level of fear.
So, as mental health declines, because people refuse to use logic or think independently, we'll see five unusual jobs in demand in 2025.
Psychologist
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, employment for psychologists will increase between 2018 and 2028, with an estimated 14% growth and 26,000 new jobs.
And it makes sense.
While we force developing children to mask up, stay home, and not communicate with others, we're creating plenty of future shrink work.
It's safe to say that psychologists will take on more patients and maybe serve in schools.
But it's not just the kids.
As many adults will come to realize that they've been a severe detriment to their children, they'll likely need some couch time too. Assuming they come to their senses.
We could even see a spike in dedicated psychologists in the workplace.
Job perks could read:
"3 weeks PTO, floating holidays, and full-time psychologists to help you work through the debilitating disappointment of damaging your kids' well-being because you listened to politicians and people that profit off your kids' shortcomings instead of using logic."
You can pretend you're in Billions.
Social Worker
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that opportunities for social workers will rise by 12% between 2020 and 2030.
And that could be low-balling it.
As younger children grow into adolescence, we'll see the result of what happens when our kids can't breathe, and they have a severe trust problem with authority as we find our leaders led us astray.
Many young people will find they haven't developed properly and struggle to fit into society healthily. Some will drop out, turn to drugs, or continue playing Xbox all day because that's all we have let them do since March 2020.
Not only did they miss out on the freedom that it is to be a kid, but they didn't get the tools they need to be successful as they prepare for the world.
They won't understand body language, facial cues, or even be around one another without fear of catching a deadly disease.
Think about it, during these crucial years in children's lives, they rarely see each other smile. That's sad.
In addition, kids of all ages and races will need social workers to help remove the racist beliefs taught by idiots like those at Newberg Public Schools in Oregon.
Substance/Behavioral Counseling Careers
Some of these job descriptions may overlap, but many people will develop behavioral issues, causing the need for more counseling jobs in demand by 2025.
That's why positions in this field may increase by 23% in the next ten years.
As major news outlets did a great job of scaring people, many turned to drugs and alcohol to deal with the stress.
Even if we're successful in turning this thing around, any addictions picked up along the way will persist. Similar to the way opiate-prescribed patients still need the drug after the initial injury healed.
Of course, many teenagers will fall into this bucket. Mixing drug use with developing minds we already know can be dangerous. But now we've thrown in confinement, anxiety, and depression.
That should make for many disorders that will put these careers in demand by 2025.
Marriage and Family Therapist
Stresses of the last 24 months have undoubtedly wreaked havoc on families worldwide.
Even for those in agreement on hot-topic issues.
Standard liberal kids and conservative parents around the dinner table aren't anything new, but more of these kids may find their parents might be right even if they can't admit it.
That's why we'll likely see a 23% increase in the family therapy field by 2030.
We can also expect to see a lot of regret and strong feelings to sort out in families—kind of like when they forced kids to eat outside in 40-degree weather.
And while this career choice might not exactly yield six figures, it will be an important one to help keep families together for the long run.
Training and Development Specialist
Since 2020, we've seen a lot of zealous HR and third-party "diversity" training.
We'll need new development specialists to de-program corporations from the racist nonsense they taught.
Can they get a refund on their woke 2020 "antiracist" education, by the way?
Of course, racism exists and must be dealt with accordingly, but "diversity" training only serves the company leaders as they can tell the public (customers, really) that they're "doing the work."
With an expected increase of 11% in this field in the next few years, let's revise our development programs to focus on people skills and basic consideration for fellow employees.
Why is it we have Zoom meetings about "social justice," yet nobody knows how to say "please" and "thank you?"
Remote Mental Health Counseling
While social media and smartphones, in general, have dumbed us down, they could be the very things to save lives.
Many people don't like counseling or therapy because they aren't comfortable visiting someone face-to-face and telling them their life's problems.
With apps like Better Help and Talkspace becoming more popular, we could see an increase in virtual counseling instead of traditional in-person treatment.
With tools like this, one doesn't even need to turn on the camera, as they offer chat/text options.
That might seem disconnected, but it's better than what kids get in school these days.
We're looking at you, Chicago Public Schools. Do your job. You're failing the kids, and you're undoubtedly inflicting generational damage on an already struggling black community.
But hey, you put a black square on your Instagram and a BLM flag in your lawn, way to "do the work."
All Mental Health Jobs in Demand by 2025
Traditionally, psychology degrees haven't been the most lucrative college career path, which makes these jobs unusual to be in high demand.
People will break, families will separate, and our youth will emerge from school with a damaged sense of trust for authority and racial identity.
What can that mean for the future? Will families stop producing strong people?
Or will people cling to conservativism more than ever as they see what happens when the government has absolute control?
According to current polls, more Americans today identify as Republicans, with 47% leaning red and 42% blue. We haven't seen these numbers since the end of the Gulf War.
Either way, people need help now, and we could see even more mental health jobs in demand in 2025.
As we've entirely disregarded our children for the sake of control and profits, it's clear we have our work cut out for us.
